Tom Davies

President

Tom is in his third year of studying a degree in Economics at UCL. He joined UCL Boat Club as a novice in 2021 and quickly fell in love with the sport, getting stuck in and being elected Novice Men’s Captain last year. After updates in their training programme, he led the squad to their most successful BUCS Regatta performance in recent years, with Tom’s favourite memory at the club being cycling along the race course following the men’s quad watching them win their final(!). Given his success as captain it hasn’t come as a surprise to anyone in the club that Tom has now been elected our president for 2023-24.

His goals for the club this coming year is to not only continue expanding on the excellent work done by committee in the last few years, but also focusing on expanding the club’s membership and reach, building good foundations for the future. The club will particularly be looking to give back in our local area and reconnect with old alumni to maintain connections with UCL. We are very excited for the year ahead with Tom as our leader and can’t wait to see what this season has in store!
